NOVEMBER OOC UPDATE POST.

We've made it to November! Shoutout to all of you for staying with us through these trying times. This month's plot will be less of combat and more of investigation to accommodate for it. Let us know what you would prefer!

TIMELINE.
Mod fell ill towards the tail end of October, so this plot post went up a little later than usual. We apologize for it, and will try to be more on time in the future.

A plot event will occur on November 15th, as per the norm. What exactly it is will depend on player actions in the first half fo the month.

There was no AC last month due to extenuating circumstances - there will tentatively be one this month from November 24th to 30th, and the AC requirement will be lowered to 10 comments from no more than 2 threads.

ARRIVALS.
For our new characters, they will appear inside the Sanctum hall while asleep. The Sanctum staff will freeze them in said sleep until they can be sure that no more people will be popping in. The enchantment will then be released for every character at the same time, and they will have time to get themselves oriented before venturing out into the Moon.

With regards to IC faction choice, your character can either be picked by their faction representative, or volunteer themselves to said representative. This can be threaded out by commenting to the NPC toplevel in the monthly mingle. You can also handwave it if you wish.

Returning characters will be invited back to the Sanctum for a meeting, and all characters will be able to listen to it. After monitoring the Meteor for a month with the help of PCs, the Light faction has decided on what they will do with the fallen terminal. Of course, the other faction's leaders are not going to simply sit idle and let them reap all the benefits...

SETTING INTERACTION.
As each character's actions in the setting will have a definite impact on the plot, there is a system in which you can 'turn in' descriptions of what they will be doing and receive a mod reply on the outcome. You can then choose to whether thread out the activity - encouraged, but not compulsory. Turning in these will allow mods to be updated on the effect that characters have on the setting. Feel free to turn in multiple interactions, there is no limit.

FACTION NEWS.

The Moon does not have significant seasons due to the environmental control systems installed within it, but the temperature inside has been lowered to simulate the weather of their old home. The winter is coming, but it is slated to be milder than what you might expect.

LIGHT.
After a discussion within the Light faction's government, it has been decided that the disused terminal will be turned off. Lucius has provided willing PCs with keys to the terminal's barrier before, and he will be giving any willing volunteers a key to shut down the terminal permanently. The next phase would be to collect the crystals within the terminal, and then transport it back to the Tesseract for sorting and distribution. Probably.

In other news, election day will be this month. The population will be polled on the 15th, just as before. PCs are unfortunately not given the vote, but they are welcome to observe. Maybe something interesting will happen this year.

BLOOD.
With regards to the crystal situation, the Queen has not made a statement with regards to their views just yet. But even if she declares that Blood will not interfere with the crystal recovery, it is an unspoken truth that other members of the faction definitely will. Especially the insurgents - word on the streets is that they will pay a handsome price for any piece they can get their hands on.

Will you cooperate with them and possibly sow the seeds of larger change?

SPRING.
The Empress of Spring has put in a formal request to deliver a portion of the recovered crystals to the Life Springs. Foreigners are also invited to assist with the transportation process. Spring is not as tight-lipped about their workings as the other two nations, so one might find out what these crystals are used for if you venture there.

ICE.
The Wintersmith also has not made any statement regarding his stand on the crystal issue. However, it seems to be less of an indecisive thing and more that the Ice faction keeps their own communication under wraps. You could ask about it, though.

BOUNTIES.
The Bounty Board has been updated with November bounties! While we only have two bounties this month, both of them are plot-relevant and participating will net you greater rewards.

Setting Interactions are open as always. If you would like a particular quest or thread to nudge your folks towards character development, feel free to let us know anytime and we'll arrange something for you.
